Detroit Pistons Tickets

The Detroit Pistons is a professional basketball team based in the Auburn Hills, Michigan. The team is a member of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In 1941, the team was known as the Fort Wayne (Zollner) Pistons, since they were originally based in Fort Wayne, Indiana where they won two championships. The team joined the NBA in 1948. They then moved to Detroit in 1957 and won three championships since, the most recent is in 2004. The team was founded in the North Side High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a member of the National Basketball League (NBL). The team owners are Fred Zollner and his sister Janet Zollner with the Zollner Corporation. The team played in the Basketball Association of America (BAA) in 1948, then went to the National Basketball Association in 1949.
The Pistons were one of the finest franchises in the NBA especially in ‘80s where they won repeated NBA Championships with the help of their star players Dennis Rodman, Isiah Thomas, and Bill Laimbeer, also known as "The Bad Boys" of the hard court, and the legendary coach Chuck Daly. The Piston's destiny began to turn in 1981 when the team drafted their point guard Isiah Thomas from Indiana University.
Then in early 1982, the Pistons got a trade from the Cleveland for center Bill Laimbeer and guard Vinnie Johnson from the Seattle Supersonics. The Pistons then took over the 2003-04 NBA Championships by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers. The Pistons maintained their excellence for the following four seasons, until these last two seasons when they started to miss the playoffs. Needless to say, the fans were not happy.
The Pistons were out early in the post-season the past few years. Now, they are determined to go for it all over again this year and prove that they are still one of the best NBA team. With the help of Piston's offensive threats like Charlie Villanueva and Ben Gordon, the Pistons will possibly dominate the ring once again. The team won six successive Eastern Conference Finals, including an NBA Finals or two, so it has no doubt that there shouldn't be much of a problem with the Pistons in their journey to the finals.
